Kamy Puett was born and raised in Chicago, IL, with her younger brother. Her father was a Chicago Police Officer who could build just about anything, and her mom is a Polish immigrant who took pride in homemaking and caring for Kamy and her brother. She describes her childhood as modest and recalls that the family took camping trips with family and friends multiple times a summer. Kamy attended Catholic elementary and high school, and earned a degree in accounting from the University of Illinois. She has spent her career in the financial services sector leading teams in accounting, auditing, and internal consulting on governance, risk, and compliance. Kamy and her husband have been married 25 years and now live in South Carolina. They are the proud parents of two amazing young men. The family has a chocolate lab named Dove and a yellow lab named Crouton. Kamy came to faith in Christ in November 2019 and, as she likes to say, has been joyriding with Jesus in faith ever since. She is a writer and a prophetic scribe, and the Lord uses these gifts to preach His word, teach the good news of the gospel, and share the biblical truths that she has come to know and the person of Christ whom she has come to love. Kamy has authored two books to date. The first is the “Born to Win Anthology – Volume 1,” where she was a participating author. The second is “From Filthy Rags to Glorious Riches – An Orphan No Longer,” her first independent work. In it, she shares her deeply personal and victorious journey from spiritual orphanhood to sonship.
